Routes
There will be four routes which all start at the Mini-Met shelter just east of Lagoon Park (a short trail connects the two). The 2 shorter routes will go out of town past the high school and onto Aberdeen Road. The 2 longer routes will turn left at Hillside Ave & continue south & east to Hwy 21 for a mile, then onto CR 11. The Town Hall Tour turns right on Old 169 towards Belle Plaine. All of the courses are somewhat hilly (Town Hall being the least hilly). All routes will end in Lagoon Park/Mini-Met. Sag service will be provided by Wolf Motors and a local bike shop. Maps will be available on tour day. Following is a summary of the 4 courses.
12 mile "Town Hall Tour"
Jordan, St. Lawrence Town Hall, Hot Spot & back

This course (as all) starts at the Mini-Met/Lagoon Park, proceeding south on Aberdeen. Take a right turn at Old Hwy 169 or County Rd 66, a rest stop (either out or back) is located at the St. Lawrence Town Hall, about 3 miles down the road. There is a wonderful, panoramic view from this location. Please stay on the Town Hall grounds. Porta potty will be available.
The turn around point is the Hot Spot Truck Stop at 169, just another 3 miles down the road. Rest rooms and snacks are available here at retail cost. The Town Hall Route is suggested for beginners and families with small children and those who are out of shape and don't think they can handle anything longer. A shorter version of this is to pedal to the town hall and then turn around which would make a 6 mile round trip.
20 mile "Radio Tower Route"
Jordan, almost to Belle Plaine & back
Follow Aberdeen south to CR64 turn right, proceed west to Delware, turn left and head south again. When you get to the T, take a right onto Union Hill Blvd. This section is hilly & scenic. A rest stop is located along Union Hill Blvd at Oakdale Ridge Hunt Club. Once rested continue west to CR5 just outside of Belle Plaine and take a right. This new road has replaced Iago Blvd (which is gravel). Follow 5 north to CR64 and turn right. Continue east several miles. You'll encounter a steep hill near the old cemetary.

Keep going east to Delaware, turn left going north to Old 169 (Cnty 66). The Town Hall Rest Stop is located at this junction, which is 17 miles from the starting point. For an additional 6 miles you can take a left at Old 169 and continue on to the Hot Spot Truck Stop, turn around and follow the course back (stop at the rest stop, if you like) taking Old 169 straight ahead to Aberdeen, turn left again & you're back in Jordan. The name of this route derives from the tall, radio tower located near Galena and 64. 20 (or 26) miles goes very fast when having fun and riding with friends.
35 mile "Czech Trek"
Jordan to Heidelberg & New Prague & back
Leave town on Park & Hillside drive, then south to Hwy 21 for 1 mile, then turn right on Delmar Ave/CR11 and proceed south to the Heidelberg Rest Stop. Once refreshed continue less than a mile to CR 28 (turn left). You'll cross busy Hwy 21 in 2 miles. At 144 take a left. You are now approaching the south side of New Prague. Follow signs through New Prague. The New Prague rest stop is now at Cedar Summit Farm, only 3 miles away. Road markings will be in chalk.
After the stop turn right out of the dairy, then another right on CR2, cross 21, continue west to CR11, then left to CR4 and right on Aberdeen 6 miles into Jordan. For an additional 4 miles follow the 60 mile route taking a left out of the Dairy. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and rest stops on this route.
60/80 mile "Monty Marathon"
Jordan to Heidelberg, Le Center, Lexington, Montgomery, New Prague & back
This follows the same course as the Czech Trek up to Heidelberg. Stay on 11, cross Hwy 19 (now it's LeSeur Cnty 30) and continue south to the town of Heidelberg where we'll have a rest stop. Continue south a short ways to CR 28 and take a right (35 milers go left), proceed west about 3.5 miles to CR 11. At this point a left turn will put you on the 60 mile route; a right turn on the 80. For the 60 turn left at CR 26 which will bring you into Lexington, north of Clear Lake. Continue on 26 into the city of Montgomery. (A shortcut alternate is to take CR 32 off of 28 south into Lexington.) We'll have another rest stop in the Montgomery city park on the southeast side of town. When we resume, we'll go north on 5th St to CR26 (R) then east to 144 (left) north into New Prague. Follow the signs through town. The next rest stop is at Cedar Summit Dairy just 3 miles north of New Prague.
After the 80 mile loop splits off north, it goes through St. Thomas, then west & south (past Pioneer Power grounds) eventually into Le Center (Rest Stop) and points south (Cordova) where it turns back north joining CR 26 into Montgomery. The 80 mile route has about 25 "new miles" to ride with several hills & curves near Le Center.

Exiting New Prague continue on Drexel to the Cedar Summit Dairy Rest Stop. After the stop exit left and continue north just past Pleasant Lake to 64. Turn left at 64 and cross over 21 in a couple miles. You'll come to a T in the road, 11/Delmar Ave, take a left, proceed south to 4 or 250th, take a right. This should now look familiar, as you're retracing your path. Proceed to Aberdeen, take a right and you've only got 6 miles (mostly downhill) to get back to the Mini-Met in Jordan. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and rest stops on this route. Maps will be available and routes will be clearly marked. If you want to shorten your ride by 4 miles, follow the 35 mile route back taking a right out of the Dairy rest stop.
If all of this sounds confusing the routes will be marked & we'll have maps for you to follow.
