Unfortunately, after 8 years of sponsoring the bike tour, the Jordan Chamber of Commerce has decided NOT to sponsor it any longer. Therefore, unless circumstances change, there will be NO Jordan Valley Bike Tour this year. If there is another organization which wishes to take over sponsorship of the tour, it may be held in the future. Is there another group out there?
Many thanks to all of you who rode in the tour and to those businesses and individuals who contributed time and money to the effort. Hopefully, some good will come from the ride in terms of improving biking in the area. If you're interested in learning more about the tour and possible sponsorship please call Tim at 612.298.0851 or e-mail: info@JordanValleyBikeTour.org
Our tour setting is rural Scott and LeSueur counties with their rolling hills, lakes, forests, fields and expansive vistas. Four routes (some partially concurrent) are available to choose from. All are on paved, back-roads passing through New Prague, Heidelberg, Lexington and Montgomery. Route distances are 12, 20, 35 and 60/80 miles (with options to expand or contract mileages). Five rest stops with refreshments & facilities are planned at 15-20 mile intervals. SAG service will be provided by Paul's Bike Shop of Shakopee.
We've made it a point to avoid busy highways and roads. Registration at the Mini-Met shelter (next to Lagoon Park) begins at 6:30 am, longer distance riders may leave at 7:00 am. Riders can start as late as 9:30 for the 2 shorter routes. To register on-line click here. See our schedule. For directions to Jordan, click here. All routes end at the Mini-Met and must be completed by 2:30. Wolf Motors and local bike shops will be providing sag service. We expect 300+ riders.

If you can't make our ride this year, you're invited to explore the many, lightly-traveled, country roads radiating out like spokes from Jordan which is the "biking hub of Scott County" . There are great routes to Belle Plaine, Carver, Shakopee, New Prague and other towns. Since Jordan is essentially located at the bottom of a bowl, these roads will give you plenty of hill climbing fun.

Right, TCBC ride briefing from Tim Bischke.
FYI, the purpose of our tour is to raise money to develop trails in and around Jordan and to promote safe biking.
Come for the ride, stay for the day!
